Jim Birschbach
Cameron County GOP Chairman
Jim Birschbach is a dedicated conservative leader, husband, grandfather, and active member of the Cameron County community. Guided by faith, integrity, and a commitment to servant leadership, Jim has spent years working to advance conservative values throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
Prior to serving as County Chair, Jim served as Treasurer of the Cameron County Republican Party, where he helped strengthen the organization’s financial oversight, transparency, and day-to-day operations. His experience in grassroots campaigning, fundraising, and organizational leadership has prepared him to lead the party with professionalism and purpose.
As Chair of the Cameron County Republican Party, Jim is committed to strengthening the party from the ground up by supporting precinct chairs, empowering volunteers, expanding voter engagement, and building a united, well-organized organization dedicated to keeping Texas red and faithfully representing the voters of Cameron County.

Meet Your Precinct Chairs
A Precinct Chair is the most important leadership role in the Cameron County Republican Party. Simply put, a Precinct Chair is the central manager for the smallest unit in the party. As the only elected official in the precinct, they have roles and responsibilities in, and to, the party. They also have a lot of fun and meet a lot of people! Precinct Chairs are boots on the ground that have day to day interaction with the voters in their area.
